From May 21–25, 2026, San Francisco moved to the rhythm of tango once again. The ATUSA — US Argentine Tango Championship & Festival was held at the San Francisco Airport Marriott (Burlingame, California), and once more Mimi Pinzón was the Official Sponsor of the championship.
ATUSA is no ordinary festival: it is the Official US Preliminary of the Tango Buenos Aires World Championship, the most important tango competition in the world. The couples who shine in San Francisco are the ones who dream of dancing on the stage in the birthplace of tango.
And this is what makes us truly proud: Mimi Pinzón walks the whole journey with the dancers. We are the Official Sponsor of ATUSA in the United States and of the Tango BA Festival & World Championship in Buenos Aires. We are the couture house that dresses competitors from the qualifier to the world final — from one stage to the other, from the Bay Area to the Río de la Plata.
As Official Sponsor since its very beginnings, Mimi Pinzón provided prizes for the champions of every category, offering what we do best: tango dresses handcrafted in our Buenos Aires Showroom, designed for movement, for the camera, and for that moment when the embrace becomes art.
As every year, Mimi Pinzón was also present with its own stand, hosted by our representative Julie Long — a meeting point for the dancers who wanted to see our dresses up close. And the most exciting part: several championship finalists wore Mimi Pinzón designs on stage.
The couples crowned Official USA Champions 2026 across the four official categories (Tango de Pista, Stage, Vals and Milonga) were Jesús Aranguren and Jael Montilla (Orlando, FL), who now set their sights on the World Championship final in Buenos Aires.
Whether you dance, compete, or simply dream of your next dress, we invite you to discover all our limited-edition designs, made one by one, in both the Escenario Collection and the Salón Collection, all available from Buenos Aires with worldwide shipping.
